Our CPD Paediatric First Aid course is designed for parents, grandparents, babysitters, and anyone who works with or cares for babies and young children but does not require an Ofsted/EYFS regulated qualification.
Delivered by experienced medical professionals, this practical, engaging session will give you the confidence and skills to act quickly in an emergency.

Course Content

During this interactive course, you will learn how to:

• Recognise and respond to unresponsive infants and children
• Perform child and infant CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Manage choking incidents
• Treat bleeding, burns, and scalds
• Recognise and respond to seizures and febrile convulsions
• Deal with head injuries
• Manage allergic reactions and anaphylaxis
• Recognise signs of meningitis
• Provide first aid for fever and common childhood illnesses

This course is ideal for:

• Parents, guardians, and grandparents
• Babysitters and nannies
• Foster carers and childminders (non-Ofsted requirement)
• Youth workers, sports coaches, and playgroup leaders

Assessment & Certification

There is no formal assessment – this course is designed for confidence building and practical skills.
On completion, you will receive a CPD-certified certificate.
We recommend refreshing your training every 3 years to maintain confidence and ensure your skills stay up to date.

Important Note

If you work in an Ofsted-registered childcare setting or need to meet Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory requirements, you will need a regulated Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification. Please contact us for more information.
